What You Will Set Up

Dynamic DNS keeps a hostname like home.yourdomain.com pointed to your router's current public IP address. When your ISP changes the IP, your router or update client sends the new IP to DNSExit automatically.

How It Works

  1. Get a domain — register one, use an existing one, or start with a free domain
  2. Create a hostname — e.g. home.yourdomain.com
  3. Pick your router brand — we show you exactly what to enter
  4. Done! — your router keeps your IP updated automatically
